If the Kickstart arm has any slack in it then that's all lost energy that would see the engine turn over both faster and for longer
You need to be moving the engine over from the off and that's why you haven't been starting it!
Fit Taffmeisters Modified Sledge and from the moment you pull the lever out, it's cocked ready to kick, with a full swing = it's a runner!
Comprehensive instructions are supplied along with the torx screws, which usually come loose and the heads are worn off or worse...snapped.
New (OEM) torx screws are supplied with 'dry loctite' on the threads, these can be tightened very hard, preventing them from coming loose... another improvement.
This is a "must do" mod for all '89 - '00 bikes as the arm has so much slack in it. It fits straight in. Just do one small job which is explained with the instructions. it's 'an important job' for 2001 - 2003 models.
